ABOUT THE PROJECT
I was commissioned to create a new visual identity for Engeltofta—a premier destination for conferences, hotel stays, and private events. The project encompassed designing a new logo, print collateral such as business cards, check-in cards, and gift certificates, as well as branding for fragrance products and a seasonal summer menu. The objective was to deliver a cohesive and elegant design that reflects Engeltofta’s brand essence and atmosphere.

Design process
To create a cohesive and well-crafted visual identity for Engeltofta, I utilized Adobe Illustrator for the entire design process. I developed the logo, typography, and layout with a strong focus on reflecting Engeltofta’s elegant and timeless atmosphere.
A distinct detail of the design process was the creation of a unique watermark. To capture the estate’s rich history and environment, I vectorized a pattern found on an original table on-site. This subtle graphic element was integrated across various brand collaterals to strengthen the brand identity and create a cohesive experience.
Beyond the logo and visual identity, I developed the layouts and print-ready files for:
- Business cards
- Check-in cards
- Gift cards
- Labels for scented candles and reed diffusers
- Summer menu
Every asset was designed with a clear common thread to ensure a professional and harmonious brand experience.

Engeltofta’s NEW logotyPE

The client requested a modernization of Engeltofta’s logo, leaning toward a clean, minimalist design while preserving a clear connection to the existing branding. The goal was not to create something entirely brand new, but rather to give the old logo a natural evolution that felt both updated and timeless. The new design retains the coordinates as a central element of the identity, but presents them in a circular shape surrounding the initial “E,” evoking the feel of a seal or a compass. This makes it more flexible and versatile across different touchpoints, while still remaining faithful to Engeltofta’s original identity. Per the client’s request, the old logo is still utilized on certain printed assets where it is a better fit, such as the check-in cards.

The client requested timeless check-in cards containing clear and relevant information. To create a cohesive and elegant design, a white watermark with 30% opacity was placed on the front, paired with Engeltofta’s original logo, which better harmonized with the overall style of the cards. For the interior, the typeface Adelle Sans Regular was selected for its excellent readability. Per the client’s request, the back remains blank.

The client requested an informative and sleek brochure that reflects Engeltofta’s elegant and historic environment. The design was crafted with a strong focus on a cohesive and timeless aesthetic, using a curated selection of imagery to highlight Engeltofta’s unique atmosphere. The structure was developed to provide clear and easily accessible information, featuring dedicated sections for each business area. A subtle bordered frame and recurring graphic elements create a unified visual thread throughout the entire brochure.
