Brand story

In August 2014, we crafted our very first apple must using fruit from our own garden, right in our garage in Söderhamn. The moment that fruity, crisp beverage hit our taste buds, an idea was born: we wanted to share this delight with the world. By 2015, we began producing our apple must for sale in our small cidery. We view the apple as the Nordic equivalent to the grape. Our must contains 100% gently handled Swedish apples. Ingrid Marie, Frida, Saga, Aroma, Elise, and Rubinola are just a few of the apple varieties we use to craft our must. Sustainability is at the core of what we do; we ensure that as little raw material as possible goes to waste, and we always climate-compensate for the shipping of our apples and products. An artisanal must must contain 100% fruit, nothing else. Yet, our work is about more than just the must we create. It’s about the people who join us on this journey and make it possible to deliver our award-winning, sustainable must. We collaborate with local apple farmers, friends, and neighbors, simply anyone who wants to be a part of it, and without them, we wouldn’t exist.

Key lessons

Through this project, I learned how to create a cohesive visual identity from scratch, spanning everything from logo and color palette to packaging design and layout. I developed my ability to work conceptually, make intentional design decisions, and deliver a graphic style that effectively communicates a brand’s identity and values.
